June 28, 2025 – Victory: Sen. Lee Surrenders on Plan to Sell Off America’s Public Lands

June 20, 2025 — Across the country, public lands are in peril. The Senate version of President Donald Trump’s tax bill calls for selling millions of acres of public lands. If it goes through, it’ll pave the way to turn some of our most spectacular places — forests, meadows and breathtaking deserts — into gated communities and mega-mansions for the ultra-rich. 

This is the largest attack we’ve ever seen on our public lands. These irreplaceable places provide habitat for wildlife, like grizzly bears and spotted owls, and are a crucial source of clean water and healthy air — besides being a respite for all who visit.
