Center for Biological Diversity Awarded $72,000 Grant by CREDO Mobile
Funds Will Support Center's Work to Protect Wildlife, Wild Spaces
SAN FRANCISCO— The Center for Biological Diversity was recently awarded a grant of more than $72,000 as a part of CREDO Mobile's donation program.
Through this program the company distributes nearly $150,000 each month to three organizations. The amounts awarded to each group are determined by their percentage in a public, monthly online vote. In March, when the Center was selected as a recipient, more than 51,000 CREDO members voted.
"We’re deeply grateful for the support of CREDO members," said Kierán Suckling, the Center’s executive director. "CREDO has been an important ally in our fight to defend the planet and its endangered animals and plants from a host of threats. This grant will help us keep resisting Trump’s anti-wildlife agenda in every way possible, especially in the courts."
Funding from CREDO members will support the Center for Biological Diversity's more than 100 lawsuits and counting against the Trump administration's war on wildlife and wild places.
Since 1985 CREDO has donated more than $87 million to progressive organizations fighting for women’s rights, economic justice, voting rights, the environment and more.
The Center for Biological Diversity is a national, nonprofit conservation organization with more than 1.4 million members and online activists dedicated to the protection of endangered species and wild places.
