'Frostpaw the Polar Bear' to Attend Hillary Clinton D.C. Fundraiser

Clinton Urged to Step Up as Climate Leader, Speak Out Against Keystone XL

WASHINGTON— The Center for Biological Diversity’s Frostpaw the Polar Bear and activists will make an appearance tonight outside a “Hillary for America” fundraiser. The activists will urge Clinton to demonstrate bold climate leadership and come out against the Keystone XL pipeline.

Clinton has been laying the groundwork for a 2016 presidential campaign, but has yet to take strong public positions on specific climate policy and has been silent on the future of Keystone XL.

“We need Hillary Clinton to be the strong climate leader our country and world needs,” said Bill Snape, senior counsel at the Center. “The climate crisis is the most important issue of our age. It’s vital that she show that she’s serious about combating climate change by standing with us against Keystone XL and committing our country to steep reductions in carbon emissions.”
