SAN FRANCISCO― More than 350 community and conservation organizations from around the country will announce a major new legal challenge to pollution from industrial plants that create plastic tomorrow in San Francisco.
The Center for Biological Diversity’s Oakland office is leading the event outside the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s regional office. It will feature prominent speakers, costumes and other colorful visuals and an effort to present a legal filing to EPA officials.
Journalists are encouraged to attend the event and/or look for a press release at 10 a.m. tomorrow with details on the challenge to rising plastic production in the United States, which threatens communities, waterways and the climate.
