The Center for Biological Diversity is a national, nonprofit conservation organization with more than 1.4 million members and online activists dedicated to the protection of endangered species and wild places. The Animal Legal Defense Fund was founded in 1979 to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. To accomplish this mission, the Animal Legal Defense Fund files high-impact lawsuits to protect animals from harm; provides free legal assistance and training to prosecutors to assure that animal abusers are held accountable for their crimes; supports tough animal protection legislation and fights harmful legislation; and provides resources and opportunities to law students and professionals to advance the emerging field of animal law. The Public Justice Food Project supports rural communities, farmers, workers and allies to fight for a just, humane, sustainable and regenerative animal agriculture system. The Food Chain Workers Alliance is a coalition of worker-based organizations whose members plant, harvest, process, pack, transport, prepare, serve and sell food, organizing to improve wages and working conditions for all workers along the food chain. The Alliance works together to build a more sustainable food system that respects workers’ rights, based on the principles of social, environmental and racial justice, in which everyone has access to healthy and affordable food. Currently, FCWA has 33 members representing over 370,000 food workers in the U.S. and Canada. Animal Equality is an international organization working with society, governments, and companies to end cruelty to farmed animals. The organization has offices in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, India, the UK, Germany, Spain and Italy and is dedicated to defending animals through legal advocacy, investigations, campaigns and public education. |
