Statement on Scott Pruitt's Resignation From Environmental Protection Agency
WASHINGTON— Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt resigned today after months of controversy and investigations into his misuse of public money and EPA personnel and unethical relationships with lobbyists and polluting industries.
“Good riddance,” said Kieran Suckling, executive director of the Center for Biological Diversity. “Pruitt was the most secretive, hostile, paranoid EPA administrator in history. It will take a decade to reverse the damage he did to America’s air, water, farm workers and children.”
